There was a surge in demand of 15-17% initially, but sales dropped significantly in July and August, particularly affected by the decline in tourism, hotels, and restaurants. However, sales recovered in September and remained stable, with a shift towards retail sales. Export of Bulgarian fruit and vegetable preserves also remained resilient, despite some logistical challenges, with transport corridons in Europe staying open and container transport continuing to operate. The cancellation of international and Bulgarian food fairs due to the pandemic has hindered companies from finding new customers, but they are now focusing on internet marketing.
