The Ministry of Agriculture in Hungary is encouraging livestock farmers to adopt more sustainable practices to face the upcoming environmental challenges. This was announced on the Day of Livestock Breeders, which marks the sacrifice of farmers. The government is implementing a green animal husbandry strategy with initiatives such as a HUF 400 billion subsidy for the Plant Development Program and a 32 percent ammonia reduction by 2030. There's a focus on building the brand of Hungarian farming products, enhancing interprofessional organizations, and prioritizing animal welfare, health, and environmental protection. The Agricultural Marketing Center is working to improve the competitiveness of Hungarian agriculture through marketing campaigns and consumer education.
