The Aquatic Seeds Association of the Republic of China (Taiwan) has been instrumental in helping the industry develop export markets in Southeast Asia and export high-quality aquatic seedlings abroad. The association has played a crucial role in regaining Taiwan's foothold in the Vietnamese market and promoting the registration of high-quality aquatic seedling farms to improve quality management. Taiwan's seed industry faces challenges such as price-cutting competition, detection of banned drugs in Chinese grouper, and diseases like 'Syndrome' in biological bait. To improve international competitiveness, the industry needs policy and technical support from the government and academic research institutions. The association is also exploring ways to combine modern technology, automation, and intelligence to upgrade Taiwan's seed industry.
