After regaining the sanitary status as a country free of avian influenza, the National Agrarian Health Service (SENASA) is pushing for arrangements with various international health authorities with the aim of reactivating and expanding poultry exports, guaranteeing the safety and health of Peruvian products. Currently, countries such as Bolivia, Colombia, Cuba, and Panama are in the process of updating and accrediting exporting plants, which will allow consumers in these destinations to access Peruvian poultry products recognized for their high sanitary standard. The goal is for these markets to once again grant access to Peruvian poultry by the end of 2025. The Asian market represents a strategic opportunity for the national poultry industry.
