Seosan City, Special Collection Period for Kimchi Garbage Operation

Starting from the 8th until December 27, for a period of 7 weeks, the use of volume-based garbage bags will be temporarily allowed for kimchi-making waste. This temporary allowance is implemented to efficiently manage the large amount of kimchi-making waste that occurs during the peak kimchi-making season, aiming to improve the convenience for citizens. The volume-based garbage bags are allowed for dry waste such as cabbage leaves, onion roots, onion peels, radish peels, and garlic peels that are generated while trimming kimchi ingredients. Salted or seasoned vegetables such as cabbage, radish, and onion that are pickled or cooked must still be disposed of as food waste in the same manner as before. According to this temporary allowance, citizens disposing of kimchi-making waste must place it in designated locations from 8 PM the day before collection until 5 AM on the collection day.
