The National Forest and Wildlife Service (Serfor) recognized the District Municipality of Veintiséis de Octubre for its commitment to the effective and sustainable management of the fragile Santa Julia Coastal Wetland ecosystem in Piura, for the conservation and enhancement of this important natural space. The executive director of Serfor, Erasmo Otárola Acevedo, congratulated the district municipality on its leadership in managing the Santa Julia Coastal Wetland in Piura and for being a key player in the Territorial Table for the Comprehensive Management of this fragile ecosystem.
