Committed to the sustainable development of the Amazon, the Executive Unit Fondo Sierra Azul of the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri), in coordination with the Provincial Municipality of Putumayo, carries out the monitoring and follow-up of the productive strengthening project for maize and banana in the province of Putumayo, Loreto region. This project benefits 2000 farming families from 29 rural communities in the districts of Putumayo, Rosa Panduro, and Yaguas, improving their production, marketing, and market access capabilities through modern agricultural technologies, organizational strengthening, and specialized technical assistance.
