Since the beginning of the year, the production of greenhouse vegetables in Russia has increased by 4%

The harvest of greenhouse vegetable crops (also called greenhouse crops) in Russia since the beginning of this year has increased by four percent from the same date last year - to 415,800 tons. The Ministry of Agriculture reported this. The largest share was made up of cucumbers – 247 thousand, or four percent more. Tomato production increased by three percent to almost 158 thousand tons. Those not named included sweet and bitter peppers, eggplants, lettuce, green crops and other vegetables. The largest producing regions of vegetable crops, according to the ministry, include six central regions of the country (Moscow, Belgorod, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Saratov and Tambov regions), two southern (Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories) and even one from Siberia (Tyumen Region).
