Singapore opens market for frozen crustaceans and molluscs from Brazil

The Brazilian government expressed satisfaction with the Singapore government's announcement of sanitary approval for the importation of frozen crustaceans (such as shrimp and lobster) and bivalve molluscs (such as oysters and mussels) from Brazil. The international health certificate in force, which was renegotiated, already allowed the export of fish from extractive fishing and aquaculture. This announcement is particularly significant given the high per capita consumption of these products in Singapore, which is around 22 kg of overall fish per year.
