The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is celebrating a new edition of the National Cycle of Cinema and Rural Women with over 800 screenings and parallel activities in 463 localities across all provinces of Spain. The event, which was inaugurated at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid with the screening of the film 'Sorda', directed by Murcian director Eva Libertad, will be presented by the Secretary of State for Agriculture and Food, Begoña García. In addition to the screening of 17 feature films and 3 short films, the cycle includes an extensive calendar of complementary activities organized by the headquarters and collaborating entities. More than 300 activities are planned, including 28 meetings with some of the directors of the selected films, colloquia and meetings with other professionals in the cinematographic sector, exhibitions, concerts, and handicraft markets.
