Due to adverse weather conditions and rapid cooling, the sowing of sugar beets and sunflowers in Vinnytsia Oblast has significantly slowed down, being more than twice as slow as the previous year. Although early grains and legumes have been sown on time, the sowing of sugar beets is 28% less than forecasted, with only 18.4 thousand hectares sown as of April 11, compared to 42 thousand hectares at the same time last year. The sowing of sunflowers is also behind schedule, covering only 6 thousand hectares, which is just 2% of the projected area.
