Sowing of winter crops in Ukraine is coming to an end—most regions have fulfilled the plan.

As of November 24, 2025, Ukrainian farmers have almost completed the sowing campaign for winter crops for the 2026 harvest. According to operational data, 5 million 345 thousand hectares have been sown with winter grain crops, which constitutes 98.5% of the forecast. Over the past week, the sown areas increased by 37.3 thousand hectares. The largest area was sown with winter wheat—4 million 692 thousand hectares (98.4% of the forecast), winter barley—586.1 thousand hectares (98.9%), and rye—66.4 thousand hectares (100.3%). 1 million 84 thousand hectares have been sown with winter rapeseed, which corresponds to 96.5% of the forecast.
