Soybean and corn planting is nearing the end in Paraná, Brazil

The Department of Rural Economy (Deral), of the Paraná State Secretariat for Agriculture and Supply, released this Thursday (1st) data from the Subjective Crop Forecast (PSS), which provides information on the imminent completion of the planting of corn and soybeans, the almost complete wheat harvest and losses in the coffee crop. The data indicate that, in November, there was a small readjustment of the area for the corn crop compared to the previous month, changing from 400 thousand to 395 thousand hectares. The production expectation is at 3.8 million tons. In the field, planting is practically finished, with some isolated spots remaining. “Planting started in August, and this corn suffered much more due to excessive rainfall in September and October.
