Diaporthe, a new pathogen identified in some productive areas of the country, which causes the disease known as soybean anomaly, is causing concern, as in some producing areas of Brazil, such as Mato Grosso, it caused considerable damage to production, due to its main symptoms: breaking of stems and pod rot, which not only reduce the yield of the crop, but also high percentages of spoilage in the silos, due to the high rate of grain decomposition, affirmed in Nación Productiva Agricultural Engineer Wilfrido Morel, general director of FitoLab Paraguay.
