Brazilian soybean farmers have almost finished planting their 2025/26 crop, with about 91% of the fields sown in the world's largest producer and exporter, consultancy Patria Agronegocios said on Saturday.

At this point in the past season, the total area planted with soybeans was around 95%, according to data from Patria. Despite the slightly lower pace, planting is virtually complete in key states, such as Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, and Paraná, the consultancy added. Brazil's soybean production could reach 171.89 million metric tons in 2025/26, Patria said last week.
