REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SEMARANG — Prices of chilies and red onions in Semarang City, Central Java, have skyrocketed. Specifically, the price of chilies has surged by as much as 100 percent from the normal price. Vegetable vendor at Gayamsari Market, Nurinaya (60 years old), revealed that the price of red chili peppers has reached Rp 80 thousand per kilogram.
