In April, Brazil saw a significant increase in the export value of cassava starch, reaching its highest level since December 2019, with a 17% rise from March and a 54.4% increase year-on-year. Despite this, the volume of starch exported fell by 61.4% compared to March and 48.4% year-on-year, marking the smallest amount exported since January 2021. Paraná was the leading exporter, contributing 43.8% of the total, followed by Mato Grosso do Sul and São Paulo. The main destinations for Brazilian starch were Bolivia, Paraguay, and the United States.
