[Rural Economy and Fisheries Newspaper=Park Se-jun, reporter] Starting next year, the agency fee imposed on farmers who entrust their farmland to the Korea Rural Community Corporation's farmland bank for lease will be abolished. The Rural Community Corporation announced that it will completely abolish the agency fee for the 'farmland lease trust business' for farmers starting January 1st of next year. The farmland lease trust business is an initiative where the Rural Community Corporation, on behalf of landowners who find it difficult to manage their land themselves, entrusts their farmland to full-time farmers or other actual cultivators for long-term lease. The Rural Community Corporation has been promoting this business through the farmland bank since 2005 to ensure efficient use of farmland, charging farmland owners an agency fee of 2.5 to 5 percent of the annual lease fee for post-management and other business management.
