The Stavropol Territory in Russia has expanded its vegetable oil exports to six new countries, including the United Arab Emirates, China, Qatar, Nepal, Lebanon, and Senegal, increasing its export partners to 23. The region, known as the largest agricultural base for sunflower seed cultivation, has seen a 1.5 times increase in exports of fat and oil products in the first half of 2021 compared to the previous year, exporting over 30 thousand tons for $27.1 million. The regional government aims to expand its presence in various countries, including Haiti, Maldives, Philippines, Ghana, and Mozambique.
