Spanish stone fruit exports have experienced significant growth, reaching 557,371 tonnes and valued at 974 million euros from January to July 2024, accounting for 30% of the country's national production of 1.8 million tonnes. The exported volume is anticipated to rise further in August and September. The report highlights an increase in exports of nectarines, Paraguayan nectarines, peaches, and apricots, with only plum exports showing a decrease. The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food acknowledges Catalonia, Murcia, Andalusia, Extremadura, Aragon, and La Rioja as the primary regions contributing to Spain's stone fruit production, underscoring the sector's significance in the country's agricultural output.
