Storms affect soybeans and corn in Paraná

According to the Agricultural Economic Bulletin released this Thursday (6) by analysts from the Department of Rural Economy (Deral), from the State Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply (Seab), the storms recorded in the first weekend of November caused impacts in rural areas of Paraná, especially in soybean and corn crops. According to the bulletin, the weather events were accompanied by gales, floods, and hail in several cities. The Civil Defense reported, in a report from 05/11/2025, that at least 40 municipalities registered urban damages, which, by analogy, indicates possible agricultural losses in these regions. In these municipalities, a total of 859.8 thousand hectares of soybeans and corn were planted in the first crop of 2024, with 854.4 thousand hectares dedicated to soybeans.
