Tridge summary

Strategie Grains forecasts a significant recovery in the EU's canola and sunflower seed production in 2025, following a decrease in 2024 due to adverse weather conditions. The canola harvest is projected to rise by 12% to 18.7 million metric tons, while sunflower production is expected to increase by 25% to 10.5 million tonnes. The recovery is anticipated in countries like Romania, France, Germany, and the Baltic States for canola, and due to expected expansion in sown areas and high prices resulting from this year's poor harvests, for sunflower seeds as well.
