Brazil's sugar exports experienced a 33.8% increase in value from January to October 2024, compared to the same period in 2023, reaching US$ 13.3 billion. This growth positions sugar as the second most exported agricultural product in the country, following soybeans which, despite a 15.6% decrease from the previous year, still achieved US$ 40.9 billion in exports during the same period. This information was highlighted in a report by the Economic Department of the Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of São Paulo (Faesp).
