Sugar from SP reaches lowest price in four harvests

The average prices of crystal sugar in the spot market of the state of São Paulo continued to fall over the past week, according to surveys by Cepea. On October 22, the CEPEA/ESALQ Indicator (color Icumsa 130 to 180) closed at R$ 112.02/sack of 50 kg, the lowest nominal level in the last four harvests (more precisely, since the end of April 2021).
