The average productivity from April to August reached 79.3 tons per hectare, about 8% higher than the previous harvest, reigniting projections of a harvest exceeding 600 million tons. In terms of quality, the average ATR per ton of sugarcane remains 4% below that recorded in the past harvest, while the portion of sugarcane allocated for sugar production reached 52.8%. Despite the volume crushed being 5% lower than the previous year, sugar production shows only a 2% drop compared to the previous harvest, while ethanol production still registers a 10% deficit.
