[Korean Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper, Reporter Gu Jeong-min] Starting from August, the Sunchang County in Jeonbuk Province will operate a practical education program to ensure the stable settlement and capacity enhancement of prospective returnees to farming and rural areas. The education program consists of five courses: barista certification, agricultural machinery safety and basic practice, AI-utilized rural marketing, rural living skills practice, and preparation education for returning to farming and rural areas. The program combines theory and field experience, and some courses offer the possibility of obtaining certifications. The target participants are prospective returnees to farming and rural areas from urban areas and returnees already in the region, and the tuition is free. The education program also includes settlement experience stories from veteran returnees and tailored advice from local agricultural experts and consultants to increase its effectiveness. Registration is available on the Sunchang County homepage.
