According to the harvest forecasts established by Fruit-Union Suisse, the 2024 apple harvest should reach 103,589 tonnes (i.e. +3% compared to 2023) and the 2024 pear harvest should reach 16,364 tonnes (i.e. +17% compared to 2023). The sizes and quality of the fruits are considered excellent. Apples: the Gala variety with 29% of the total volume remains in the lead, ahead of the Golden Delicious with 14% and the Braeburn with 11%.
