Syngenta Korea's 'Mirae Bit® (Pidiflumethopen Liquid Wettable Powder)' has been registered as the country's first fungicide for wilt disease and mummy disease occurring in soybeans. Pidiflumethopen is the only active ingredient registered for soybean wilt and mummy diseases, which are expected to increase due to recent abnormal climate conditions, and Syngenta Korea anticipates that its flagship product Mirae Bit will provide an effective solution for soybean farmers. Wilt disease is a soil-borne pathogen that causes rotting of the plant's vascular tissue and stunted growth. Mummy disease is transmitted from infected plant tissues or seeds where mycelium overwinters and quickly invades in humid environments.
