Syngenta's new isoxazoline insecticide/acaricide Vykenda® has been registered in the U.S. and will be launched in the first quarter of 2026.

Vykenda® works through a dual action mechanism of contact killing and stomach toxicity, which can quickly inhibit pest feeding and provide continuous control effects against various difficult-to-manage pests such as mites, thrips, grape black ear weevils, and red-headed flea beetles. A Syngenta fungicide brand manager stated that isoxazoflutole can effectively control a variety of troublesome pests in ornamental crop cultivation, with both rapid knockdown and long-lasting residual activity, and can serve as an important tool for resistance management. This agent is suitable for all ornamental crops and also includes edible crops sold to retail consumers, such as fruit trees, nut trees, vines, small berries, and vegetable transplants.
