Table grape imports in Georgia have seen a decrease in the last quarter of 2022 compared to the previous year, with a total of 990 tons imported in Q4 2022, down from 1,135 tons in Q4 2021. Despite this, local demand for table grapes remains strong, with prices remaining stable and local production increasing from 80 tons in 2021 to 350 tons in 2022. However, not all producers had a successful season due to adverse weather conditions. The growth in local production is outpacing local demand, which may continue to lead to a decline in import volumes in 2023 as local supplies are expected to increase further.
