[Fisheries and Livestock Newspaper=Reporter Kim Jeong-hee] In response to the autumn spawning season, Taean County will launch a special crackdown on illegal fishing activities across the county's harbors and maritime areas, including land inspections, for the entire month of October. According to the county on the 30th, this crackdown aims to protect marine and inland fish and shellfish, prevent ongoing illegal fishing activities such as gear violations and unlicensed, unauthorized capture, and to establish a healthy fishing order. Furthermore, to enhance the effectiveness of the crackdown, the county's fishery patrol vessel "Taean Geukbiho" and the Chungcheongnam-do fishery patrol vessel "Chungnam 209" will be utilized, in conjunction with cooperative organizations such as the Fisheries Cooperative and the Coast Guard, to conduct inspections at major harbors and areas where illegal fishing complaints have been reported.
