The Agricultural Insurance Plan for 2026 will have a budget of 315 million euros, the same amount as this year, and as a novelty will include coverage for sheep and goat pox disease, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA). The 47th Combined Agricultural Insurance Plan for the next fiscal year was approved this Thursday by the General Commission of the State Agricultural Insurance Entity (Enesa). MAPA has indicated that in order to enable the "future inclusion" of coverage for other livestock diseases such as "contagious nodular dermatitis" or "swine plague," the plan incorporates new technical actions and studies aimed at future improvements, including those related to these animal conditions.
