On June 14, 2025, the 8th Crayfish Industry Conference was held in Yongxiu County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. The conference, themed "Brand Empowerment and Promoting Coordinated Development of the Entire Crayfish Industry Chain," gathered industry elites, experts, scholars, and industry representatives.
The conference was hosted by the China Aquatic Products Circulation and Processing Association, and co-organized by the Crayfish Industry Branch of the China Aquatic Products Circulation and Processing Association, Aquaculture Network, Jiangxi Rice Industry Technical System, Yongxiu County Agricultural and Rural Bureau, and Yongxiu County Rice-Crayfish Association. Attendees included Zhang Yuxiang, President of the China Agricultural Products Market Association; Zhang Limin, Deputy Director of Jiangxi Provincial Agricultural and Rural Department; Cui He, President of the China Aquatic Products Circulation and Processing Association; Xiong Jinxi, Vice Mayor of Jiujiang City; Zhou Xingxian, Vice Chairman of Jiujiang City Political Consultative Conference and Director of Agricultural and Rural Bureau; Qin Ling, Secretary of the Yongxiu County Committee; and Zhu Chao, Vice Secretary and County Mayor. Cui He officially declared the 8th Crayfish Industry Conference open.
Qin Ling, Secretary of the Yongxiu County Committee, delivered a welcome speech. He introduced that Yongxiu, as the largest crayfish farming county in Jiangxi Province, had over the past year developed a comprehensive industry chain including "crayfish seedling breeding, rice-crayfish cultivation, deep processing, cold chain storage, and sales logistics." The county's crayfish industry service model was selected as an outstanding business environment optimization case. The crayfish-led fishery project was the only one in the province selected for the 2025 National Fishery Green Circular Development Project. Adhering to the principle of developing industries that enrich people, Yongxiu fully promoted agricultural field cultivation, expanding crayfish farming area from 260,000 mu last year to 300,000 mu this year, maintaining the top position in the province.
