The Andalusian Accelerator Unit will boost the largest biotechnological park in the EU in Almería.

The Project Acceleration Unit of the Junta will expedite the procedures to launch the Agrobío Biotechnological Park project for Biological Control and Biopollination in La Mojonera (Almería), which will be the largest in Europe. The Junta de Andalucía considers the initiative strategic as it contributes to improving the competitiveness and sustainability of fruit and vegetable greenhouses, boosting research, innovation, and knowledge transfer, and raising the training level and business skills of agro-industrial sector agents. The company Agrobío promotes this initiative by which its current biofactory will be expanded to group in a single space the production, commercialization, R&D, innovation, advisory, and training facilities of biological control organisms intended for integrated pest management.
