Since the start of the Russian invasion, Ukraine has seen a 25% increase in coriander cultivation areas, expanding to 8.3 thousand hectares in 2023 from 6.6 thousand hectares in 2020. The most significant growth was observed in the Nikolaev region, with other areas such as Odessa, Poltava, and Kharkov also contributing to the cultivation. The yield varied across regions, with Kirovograd, Zaporozhye, and Kharkov regions achieving the highest. Ukraine emerges as one of the largest coriander exporters, with its exports reaching 86.1 thousand tons in 2023, primarily to India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Germany. This trend has seen new agricultural holdings like KSG Agro starting coriander cultivation, joining the ranks of PAEK and A.G.R who began earlier.
