The Ukrainian sunflower market is in a growth phase. Despite challenging weather conditions that are slowing down the harvest, the demand for sunflower seeds remains high. This is reported by APK-Inform, citing the analytical department of the agricultural cooperative PUSК, established within the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council, as reported by the press service of VAR. "The sunflower harvest in Ukraine is progressing slowly. Over the last week, the yield increased by less than 1 million tons, and the total volume stands at about 6.3 million tons—only half of the planned 11.5–12 million tons. Due to excess moisture, the quality of the seeds is deteriorating, and the share of marketable product is shrinking. This is stimulating the growth of prices in the market," analysts note.
