EastFruit analysts reported that despite early frosts reducing blueberry yields and quality in some regions, the overall harvest volume increased compared to last year. Challenges in harvesting and marketing due to military aggression against Ukraine and a low domestic market capacity were noted, but blueberry supply still rose. Early harvesting led to an early season end, causing prices to recover by mid-August. However, average prices during peak months were the lowest in years, making cultivation less profitable for small farms without direct export access. The interim results of the 2024 season are expected to be close to the final ones.
