Starting from January 1, 2026, the discount coefficient (0.9009 to current rates) for the rail transportation of a number of foodstuffs in Russia will cease to be in effect, including vegetables, fruits, flour, cereals and pasta, fish and meat, salt and sugar, milk, oils, and others. In connection with this, the Association of Product Sector Organizations (ASORPS) will appeal to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin with a request to extend the effect of the discount coefficient. This was told to "Agroexpert" by Anton Vostrikov, Director for Development of the multimodal operator of refrigerated containers "Polar Star" (a member of ASORPS). According to him, all refrigerated operators are concerned about the decision not to extend the effect of the discount coefficient.
