The Food Industries Chamber of the Federation of Egyptian Industries recently held a meeting to address the challenges facing the feed sector. Chaired by Dr. Muhammad Al-Shafi’i, the meeting proposed solutions such as expanding fodder crop cultivation, using non-traditional fodder plants, and exploring feed alternatives from agricultural waste. Al-Shafi’i stressed the importance of fair pricing for farmers, tighter price control, and fostering fodder cultivation in friendly African nations. The potential use of food manufacturing waste and non-traditional feed varieties in the feed industry was also discussed.
