Drought and high temperatures are impacting the growth of summer crops in Cordoba, leading to water and thermal stress. The planting work is delayed, with only 15% of lots sown early and 85% waiting for better conditions. The situation is mostly good to very good for soybeans, which are 70% planted, but corn faces a 27% drop in area due to low profitability and yellow aphid problem. Sorghum planting is nearly finished, with 95% of the area planted and in good to excellent condition. Peanuts, which require less water, are also in good to excellent condition, but their condition could worsen with continued high temperatures and lack of water.
