The company "Russian Salmon" (Murmansk region), which halted production in 2015, has started slaughtering sea trout and began the first deliveries of fish products to Moscow and St. Petersburg, reports "Interfax" with reference to the company's press service. The volume of the first batch amounted to 1,000 tons. In the future, it is also planned to resume supplies of commercial Atlantic salmon. The company has already started negotiations with major retail chains and suppliers. "Russian Salmon" plans to increase production volume to 20,000 tons of products per year. It has four marine fishing complexes and its own fleet. Also, in October 2023, the company launched a factory for the slaughter and processing of Atlantic salmon in the Pechengsky District of the Murmansk region.
