Thailand's Department of Agriculture is taking steps to boost the country's declining asparagus production by introducing a new high-yield variety, 'KWK Kanchanaburi 1'. Developed by the Kanchanaburi Agricultural Research and Development Center, this new variety not only offers better quality but also adapts well to various environments. Additionally, farmers can reuse its seeds for subsequent seasons. The center aims to produce 1-5 kilograms of expanded seeds by 2025 for distribution among farmers.
