A preliminary working meeting between state experts of the Ministry of Agriculture and representatives of the branch organizations from the "Tobacco" sector is to be held this month, as well as a Tobacco Advisory Council to the Minister of Agriculture is to be convened in the period from January 12 to 16, 2026. This is urged by the Chairman of the National Association of Tobacco Producers – 2010 (NAT-2010) Tsvetan Filev in a letter to Minister Georgi Tahkov. The document states that the purpose of the insistence on the preliminary meeting is to optimize the work of the next Tobacco Advisory Council and to coordinate the points that are proposed for the agenda of the meeting.
