The Food Industry Export Council is planning a mission to Tanzania from 15 to 18 June 2021 to boost exports to the Tanzanian market. The council's goal is to increase the sector’s exports, which were $ 11.3 million in 2019 and $ 14 million in 2018. The mission will focus on manufactured tobacco, sugar, oil, starch, chocolate, pasta, cocoa, and tomatoes, which collectively accounted for 99% of the total food industry exports to Tanzania in 2019.
