On November 5, the establishment meeting and academic exchange of the Group Standard Working Committee of the Chinese Fisheries Society (hereinafter referred to as "Group Standard Committee") was held in Dalian, Liaoning. Over 60 experts and scholars from relevant research institutions, higher education institutions, and technology enterprises, including the President of the Chinese Fisheries Society and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Bao Zhenmin, Vice President of the Chinese Fisheries Society and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Chen Songlin, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Chinese Fisheries Society and Director of the National Fisheries Technology Promotion Station Han Gang, Executive Vice President and Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Fisheries Society and Leader of the Inspection Team of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs He Jianxiang, Vice President of Huazhong Agricultural University Li Dapeng, and Deputy Director of the Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences Rong Xiaojun, attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Han Gang read out the document on the establishment of the Group Standard Working Committee of the Chinese Fisheries Society and the list of committee members. He Jianxiang was appointed as the Director, Ding Xiangyong and Yang Jun as Deputy Directors, and 34 others, including Ai Qinghui and Li Dapeng, as committee members. Experts and leaders such as academicians Bao Zhenmin, Chen Songlin, Han Gang, and He Jianxiang issued letters of appointment to the Director, Deputy Directors, and committee representatives. Liu Ying, Dean of the College of Biosystems Engineering and Food Science at Zhejiang University, and Professor Liu Tao from the National Key Laboratory of Marine Biogeochemistry at Xiamen University, made statements as committee representatives.
He Jianxiang introduced the progress and next steps of the society's group standardization work. He pointed out that the Chinese Fisheries Society highly values group standardization work. Since the launch of this work, through the establishment of a group standard system, strict work procedures, focusing on key areas and weak links in the fishery industry, the standardization and revision of standards have effectively promoted the orderly development of industry norms. In the future, the Group Standard Committee will continue to adhere to the basic principles of market-oriented, innovation-driven, integrity-based, fair and open, development-oriented, breakthrough-seeking, application-focused, and effectiveness-oriented. It will anchor key tasks such as ensuring stable supply of aquatic products, green development of the fishery industry, promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into standards, deepening market entity services, accelerating the internationalization of standards, strengthening the implementation of standard publicity and dissemination, and enhancing talent team building. With high standards, it will solidify the foundation of group standards and empower the high-quality development of the fishery industry.
Han Gang extended warm congratulations on the establishment of the Group Standard Committee and the convening of the conference, and put forward clear requirements for the future work of the Group Standard Committee. He emphasized that the next step in the revision of group standards should adhere to "demand-oriented," focusing on the key, difficult, and pain points of the development of the aquatic industry, closely combining standard formulation with the actual needs of the industry; adhere to "quality first," strictly control the standard formulation process, and ensure that scientific rigor permeates the entire process of standard formulation, ensuring that every released standard is useful and practical; adhere to "open collaboration," and the Group Standard Committee should actively strengthen the coordination and mutual complementation between group standards, national standards, and industry standards, forming a standard system structure of "national standards as the bottom line, industry standards as the foundation, and group standards as the supplement"; adhere to "implementation is king," innovate the ways of standard publicity and dissemination, regularly track and investigate the application of standards in the industry, collect feedback from enterprises and the market, and timely revise and improve the standards to ensure that they always resonate with industry development.
