At the Council of the European Union, all additional checks for seeds of beets, sunflowers, rapeseed, and soybeans from Ukraine have been canceled. "According to the decision, seeds of these types produced in Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova will be able to enter the EU market," the European institution's statement reads. Companies based in the European Union will be able to diversify their seed production areas. This is intended to support the continuous supply of high-quality seeds to European countries. The decision confirms that Ukrainian certification procedures provide the same guarantees regarding seed characteristics and rules of examination, identification, and control as those applied to seeds produced in EU countries.
