The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) reported that it has sent requests to 37 companies involved in catching pink salmon, pollock, cod, hake, and Pacific herring. They must provide information about primary processing and buyers, including data on product sales volumes. In addition, the service requested information about actual extraction and production volumes, sales, and cost structure of fish products for 2024-2025. "If an increase in the weighted average quarterly price of more than 5% is identified, fishing companies must provide justification for the reasons behind price changes," FAS noted. According to Rosstat, from June 17 to 23, frozen fish prices rose by 0.4%, and compared to the end of last year, increased by 12.8%.
