The Kherson region in Ukraine has recorded its first watermelon harvest of the season, producing 160 tons of fruit. Despite the challenges of the ongoing conflict, agricultural production continues with plans to distribute the famous Kherson watermelons and melons across the country. So far, about 1,000 hectares have been planted with melon crops. This harvest is a significant milestone in recovering melon production in the region. Additionally, watermelon prices in Ukraine have dropped this year due to increased imports and a good domestic harvest.
