On Thursday, October 16, 2025, the wheat complex traded in different directions: winter wheat led in the "bull" market, and spring wheat in the "bear" market. December quotations for soft winter wheat on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) fell to -$184.63 per ton, December futures for hard winter wheat on the Kansas City Board of Trade (KCBT) in Kansas City fell to $179.58 per ton, December futures for hard spring wheat on the Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX) in Minneapolis fell to $202.27 per ton. December futures for SRW in Chicago closed at $5.02-1/2, increasing by 3 ¾ cents, March futures closed at $5.18-3/4, increasing by 3 cents. December futures for HRW winter wheat in Kansas City closed at $4.88-3/4, increasing by ½ cent, March futures closed at $5.09, increasing by ¼ cent.
