Rosstat has reported a 2.6% increase in fruit and vegetable prices in Russia within a week, with the rate of increase slowing down from the previous week's 3.4%. Cucumbers experienced the highest price increase at 8.3%, while the rate of increase for tomatoes, cabbage, apples, beets, bananas, potatoes, onions, and carrots was lower. Since the beginning of the year, potatoes have seen the highest price increase at 1.9 times, followed by onions (1.5 times), cabbage (42.6%), beets (32.3%), cucumbers (22.1%), apples (20.3%), carrots (15%), bananas (12.1%), and tomatoes (11.2%). The total price increase for fruit and vegetable products in 2023 was 24.19%.
